My dad still has his first gen (maybe even single digits serial) and I think this is right.

It was replaced by the tarryall. You can run 22 or 24 inch stays. This has 22 inch stays. They are normal composite. This set up has a duplex belt. I actually prefer this pack over the tarryall. But, I have both and only need one.

Not all Late Seasons take 24" stays....

Mine won't, it's a G2 (with the G2 lumbar pad) but the velcro won't wrap over a 24" stay from my tactical Duplex, and it presses into the lid.

"Late Season Legacy" was a term I've heard for the ones that take 24", but I think Bill's screen grab was from a later version of the catalog. I only know mine, and it's got the laminated wood/carbon stays and a Duplex belt instead of the Wraptech... basically a slick Pointman.

I'd sell the Tarryall if I were you... That Late Season is a nice pack, won't be selling it, ever. It's like a 500D lightweight (not UL, which seemed too fragile) Kifaru. Rare...

Edit: Justin, this would be an upgrade to that G1 Pointman.... Just enough bigger than your Express to be worthwhile.

Kinda surprized your Late Season hasent been taken. I picked up mine on the old Kifaru Forum. Guy stated it was one of the last one made and Kifaru used left over 700 Cordura. Dont know if thats so or not but its a cool pack.

Does anyone know which version this one is? Gen 2? Legacy? Was the Duplex belt stock on these? I asked the OP but I haven't heard back. Thanks!

Hard to tell from the pic whether it’s a Gen 2 vs Legacy model. Yes, the duplex belt was stock on the Late Season.
