Looking for an light weight glassing chair. I've looked at crazy creeks, and thermarest trekkers, but for size and weight I keep coming back to the kifaru chair. It looks to slouch more than I'd like, but im open to opinions on the chair. Also, if anyone has one for sale for a reasonable price I'd take it of them as well. THanks!

I have one and the jury is still out. I used it or should say tried to use it on some soft ground and the legs kept kicking out of the dirt, even when I took the rubber feet off. I'm going to give it a try again this archery season and if I don't like it it'll be on the chopping block.

I also have the REI Flexlite chair and it's awesome. That thing goes with me on any backpacking trip as it's nice to have something to sit and lean against.

If you have a Kifaru pack, the cargo chair isn't a bad option either.

Another vote for the flexlite, I looked at the field chair but it wasn't what I was looking for.

Hey Muddy, shoot me a pm, if you are close by, I have a Kifaru field chair that you could check out sometime. I think it is a nice piece of kit.

This is what I do as well. Use what's availible naturally and through the pad on it, glassing or at camp.

I carry the Alite Mayfly. 2oz penalty vs the REI flexlite which looks like a solid choice. You can leave the front leg at home (makes it the same as the Alite butterfly) to save around 13 ounces but then you are balancing on the rear legs. Alite butterfly is $69 vs the $99 for the Mayfly. Chair is very comfortable and pretty much my one splurge to carry whenever I can. It's worth it to me.
