Folks,
Kifaru frequently analyzes their products and removes from the catalog those that don't sell well. One of the casualties this year was their Padded Contoured Shoulder Sling. They have been selling these in the single digits for the last couple of years, and it was time for them to go.
One of these has always been on my gotta have list, but each time I order from Kifaru I run out of money before I run out of wants. The shoulder sling has been sacrificed several times now. My original intent was to order one to store in the slot pocket of my XTL, which is set up as my possibles pouch. Two fastex buckles, attach the sling, and I have a man purse that will allow me to spend the night on the mountain away from camp. At work, I am thinking of rigging my XTL up as a chest rig, adding a three mag shingle to the backside, and transferring all my go bag stuff into it for Tactical/Active shooter response. These straps are reportedly much more comfortable than the standard bandoleer kit, and I may never find out.
So I called Aron and am in the process of trying to piece together a group order. We need a minimum of 20 per color to get the order off the ground, and we are getting close on the three main solid colors. Several of us are interested in specialty colors, but those are not moving up in popularity as much as we need them to. Arbitrary deadline is April 30, and you can get a hold of me via PM. I am only online a couple of time a week, so it is much more likely that you will get your questions answered faster by heading over to the Kifaru Boards in the Trading Post forum: http://www.kifaruforums.net/showthread.php?t=36434. I am keeping an excel spreadsheet on who wants what, so PLEASE, either post directly on the Kifaru thread (preferred), PM, or post directly here. PLEASE DO NOT POST MULTIPLE PLACES. I need accurate numbers to convince Patrick and Aron that this group buy is worth their time to, at least temporarily, bring back a discontinued product. I don't want to double and triple count folks and then have egg on my face when only 30 or so sell, instead of the 60+ we think we will have.
