Kifaru Bikini Troubles

X2

Also I prefer the bikini over the duplex not so much for weight savings but for the comfort and flexibility with only day hunting gear in it. The duplex feels like a board strapped to my back all day long. I feel the duplex is more stable with heavy loads but I spend more time hunting than packing heavy loads.

I virtually never reach for my duplex anymore.

The bulge every once in a while didn't bother me but I thought I'd give something a go purely in the interest of air flow to my back.
Here's what I ended up doing.
Cut x2 lengths of Easton FMJ and cut a slot in each end about 1/2" deep, then insert on the backside of the stays where the loops are.
As a bonus this is the best use I've found for FMJ's

I didn't end up using all three arrow pieces. I liked this design better. Total weight added was only 0.28 of an ounce with the iron wire and 2 arrow pieces. These are the lightest carbon shaft on the market, hence why they weigh so little. The cordage is very taught in the middle which eliminates the need for another arrow piece. I never cared about my hydration bladder hitting my back except for when my water kept getting warmed by my body! Lol. Plus, it will be nice to have a little more circulation back there.
