Looks like the price has increased $100 for the bag, $277 vs $377. Curious about why, got the answer I expected from customer service, couple of factors namely raw material price increases. Interestingly the KU lid, same materials price hasn’t changed. Maybe they haven’t needed to run a new batch yet.

When this pack came out I was really surprised and please at the price point being that low. I think its a little nuts to have been that far off in price point and the pack has been out around 7-8 months. Also makes you wonder why the KU4300 price is still that same.

I completely agree. The KU lid also seems to remain unchanged.

Oddly enough it appears that the KU4300 is being discontinued.. I wonder if they're doing a rework? I was gonna pick one up because I needed a 4k size bag but was able to offload my MaDuece and pickup a 44mag.

I hope so. I would have gotten one it it had a side zipper... I know the point of it was to shed as many pounds, but I'd rather carry a zipper than only have top load access... My same issue with the Maniml pack.

I ditched the manimal because it was too strappy for the amount of storage it contained and the auxillary bag had all these extra strap like it was going to be removed and used as a small bag. If it works for Levi Morgan, great,

the material isn't super quite i would say but it works for what i use it for. Im a whitetail hunter that hunts deep and sweats like a pig so i go in light and it carries everything I can take and still has room. It's probably overkill for what I need but it was this or the manimal and this bag was cheaper at the time so i went with it.

I feel like my Hanwag boots might make a more louder (creak) noise than this bag might... need to fix that... Agreed on the Absaroka vs Manimal (even with current price).

i went with the lid as well. It holds all my "nuts and bolts" like kill kit etc. and is very accesible. How you like them hanwags besides the creak

Love'em. No sore feet at the end of the day makes them worth it. Many miles and still like new. Mine do have some insulation, so that's worth taking into account for warmer weather, or long hikes. Mine have ball bearing speedhooks system, so taking them on and off is super quick (great for stalks and camp).
