Has anyone else experienced issues with Kenetrek Mountain Extreme boots being slippery in the snow? I just finished my hunt in Kazakhstan, and I really regret bringing these boots. I slipped and fell so many times it felt like I was a newborn learning to walk. Some of the descents were an absolute nightmare due to how much I was sliding. At one point i was slidding on every step while trying to climb up.

Moved to another area for siberian roe deer at 2500m , no snow no issues with slippingand terrain quite simillar with big hills , rocky terrain.

ive had nothing but good success with these boots in all kinds of weather. I think they are by far best boots on the market.

I have the Mountain Extreme 1000's, and have had great luck with them in bad weather, but if the ground is loose, muddy, or slick they won't stick better than any other cleated boot. What they do though is fit incredibly well, give awesome ankle support, and allow comfort when climbing.

What temps do the 1000 start to be to warm to wear for you?

Have to agree with the others on not having issues with mine in the snow. Can you enlighten us to the snow conditions that you were dealing with?

I can’t speak to snow as I’ve never worn mine in much of that, but I do find them to be extremely slippery in wet conditions. To the point I feel unsafe wearing them when it’s wet. I guess that’s the trade off they make for extremely durable soles. I just don’t find that tradeoff to be worth it imo. That and they fit horribly.

I have that issue with mine. Rocks, sticks or anything with a hard surface in wet snowy conditions might as well be ice. As already stated the hard soles don’t wear down as fast but suck for these conditions.
