I purchased a Kelty pack frame a few years ago and carry it in my truck during elk season. I never used it until this season. A couple weeks ago I shot a spike bull about a mile and a half from the road and was on my own, so I took it into the meat site to pack out the quarters. I carried a front quarter and half the loose meat about a mile the first load, and one of the brackets holding the shelf broke in half. I jerry rigged it and was able to get that load out, and I finished the job with an ancient Cabelas frame I had for years.
I contacted Kelty a couple days later with pictures and an explanation of the situation, and I asked them to send me a replacement bracket so I could repair it myself. After some electronic communication with a lady in their office, she informed me they wouldn't be able to help me. The frame wasn't expensive, but it should have served the purpose. Terrible customer service, and the reviews on their website reflect this. Just wanted to share the experience.
