I find that when the load shelf is empty the pack is very loose and wobbly. The straps and buckles are too long and leave space between the bag and frame.

How is everyone keeping the pack snugged up? Just compression straps?

I have two tabs at the top of the pack on each side that I thinking about adding k-clips to use when not packing anything in the load shelf. There are also tabs in the center where I currently try have a caribiner. I can post picks later.

Not perfect but it helps a bit. Modified a "g-hook" to use up top on either side and added buckles on the bottom.

The only way I found to tighten it up was to use my meat straps across the outside of the pack.

Pyro nailed it, there are tabs on the front of the Hellbender and Stryker's to attach the split tail female buckles to for day pack mode. The tracks on the bottom are for adjusting a Sherman in our out but also help tighten up on the bottom.

Thanks all. I’ll rearrange some buckles and see how that works out.
