Looking into one of these pants. I don't have a dealer any where close to me so I'm looking for some insight. I've looked on youtube but nobody has done one or I just can't find it.

What I'm looking for is the durability, I hunt mostly late season and would like to which one would be preferable. Pros and Cons on each would be awesome.

Thanks in advance guys.

I have them both and love them both for different reasons.

Knabs are warmer and will keep you warm down to freezing with base layers underneath. Darn near scent free due to wool properties. Keep me warm when damp also.

Corrugates are lightweight but still have a very durable nylon. The freedom of movement in these with the 4-way streatch is awsome. Very well thought-out pockets.

So it is a bit of a difficult choice which one to wear. For mid to late season Whitetails, definitely Knabs for me. Early to mid season hiking or scouting, Corrugates.

I also have both and love them each for different reasons. If your main concern is durability than the corrugates are the clear winner. For how light and breathable they are they really hold up well to abuse.

I am the opposite. I didn't care for the corrugates. They felt like skinny jeans and had zero options unlike the kanabs. I won't wear any pants but Kanabs.
I'm curious what you mean when you say the corrugates "had zero options unlike the Kanabs". Are you referring to fit? Pockets? The corrugates have more pockets and I prefer their pocket layout. They do fit a bit like skinny jeans but with the stretch in the material I think it's a benefit to have less fabric in the way while hunting. That equals less weight and less fabric to catch on things and make noise. Honestly, my Kanabs fit tighter in the waist and thighs than the corrugates and they don't have the stretch so they aren't quite as comfortable to me, though I still really like them. Being merino wool they don't stink and are super quiet. If I could change one thing on the Kanabs it would be to get rid of the annoying button near the knee. I'll never use it to roll up the pants and to my great displeasure I frequently kneel on it. I've been meaning to cut it off but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Both great pants but I think they have slightly different functions. The corrugates are more durable, the Kanabs are more silent. Both breath well though the Kanabs breath better. The Kanabs will stink less at the end of a trip but the corrugates have a DWR treatment. Which I choose for a hunt depends alot on the species and conditions I expect to encounter.

By zero options I mean I can't make them into a gaitor or roll them up. The slim fit down the leg drove me nuts.

I like the kanabs much better, they are more versatile for me, that's all.

I love the corrugates but I don't know how good of a late season pant they would make. They are tough, lightweight, breathable, comfortable but they seem too light for me to be wearing in temps below freezing.

I tried the corregates for tree stand hunting and they were not the best. Kanabs didn't work very well either though. The kanabs did better with a set of alghenny bottoms than the corregates. They seemed to fit better together. I ended up ordering a set of north branch pants for sitting in a tree.

I'll be the first to say the wind passes right through the Corrugates. I spent several hours glassing in 45° temps with a steady breeze last year and froze my butt off until I threw my rain pants on as a wind block. Still, I wouldn't hesitate to use them in cooler temps if actively moving. Throw some long underwear on underneath and it will help alot. Plus, if I'm not moving alot, I always have my rain pants as an extra layer if needed. It works for me but may not be ideal for everyone.

I have both. Corrugates are stretchy and skinny. Very light weight. They aren't super wind proof and have zero insulation. Kanabs are great. Warmer and more wind resistant. For me they go from about 75 to 45. Too hot above that and no insulation below. I switch to a soft shell for late season or something puffy for long stand sits.

For what you've described I would say Kanabs.

I find the Knabs breathe great, it's the nature of the mid-weight wool to do so.

When you say, you "hunt mostly late season", can you be more specific? Are you hiking steep mountains and taking very few breaks to glass. Are you still hunting thick timber or a river bottom where silence is critical? Are you treestand hunting?

I own the Corrugates and absolutely love them for active hunting. The 4 way stretch makes them really comfortable and gives you easy movement when high stepping uphill or over blow-down. As others have said, they are not very wind resistant, but they do breathe very well and dry very quickly.

As for the tight "skinny jean" fit, I was concerned I might not like it at first. But I have now become a fan because there is less material getting snagged on brush. And it allows you to very easily roll up the lower legs over your calves if you want to. The stretchiness of the material holds the pant leg snuggly above your calf. All that said, if you have really big calves, you might find these too tight.

As a primarily mountain hunter in Idaho and Montana, the Corrugates have easily become my favorite pants. My Sitka Ascent pants have been demoted to backup duty and they never left the bin in the truck last year.

I mean "late season" as in Dec/Jan here in Southern NM. I do hunt in Aug/Sept around 9k in the timber or above if drawn, but if I don't I have some private down around 5k in high desert for late season. I do not tree hunt, all active spot and stalk.

Has anyone else had an issue with sizing (waist)? It may be possible mine have been mislabeled.

Both my Kanab 2.0 and Corrugated are a Large however when laid flat against each other the Corrugates the waist is a 1.25 to 1.5 inch difference (equating to 2.5 to 3 inch in circumference). Has anyone else had this issue?

Not to that extent but my Kanabs definitely fit more snug in the waist and thighs than my corrugates in the same size.

I cannot stand that the Kanabs have cargo pockets on the front of the thigh...very annoying, and should be on the side of the leg like every other pant on the market. Other than that they seem nice. I went with the Corrugates and they are awesome when you are moving, but probably not a good choice if you will be sitting or glassing for long periods of time in cold temps.
