Thinking about ordering one to shed some weight. I shoot off a 9"13" Harris now. Is the standard or the long the closest in height. Any feedback on them. One concern I have is, can you load them or do they pop off?
Thanks in advance for any info.

I have the long and I believe it is pretty close to the 9-13" Harris. For a lightweight backpacking rifle I think they are awesome. Never had one pop off. I do not load them aggressively like the Harris. Just a light/gentle forward pressure. If I were shooting a heavy gun (10+lbs) or not hiking far from the truck then stay with the Harris. If you are backpacking way in, you can save a lot of room and weight with the Javelin.

The javelin has been solid for me. The long is the same as my 9-13 Harris. No problem loading it.

I do prefer to shoot off the Harris, that said if weight is a concern the javelin is a great bipod.

It’s nice to have options

i have mixed feelings about it. i have the spartan 300 been using it for 2 years now on my .300wsm ridgeline and ive already had a leg come apart, and its starting to get super sloppy when it folds up. it is light but kinda thinking i should have went with a atlas now just for reliability
