I picked up a Swaro SCL bino a week ago from Cabelas. There was a catch in the focus wheel so they sold them to me at a reduced price. Send them in to Swaro C/S, got a e mail today and they want copy of receipt. Is this normal? I have a pair of EL's from 5 years ago and have no receipt anymore, does that mean no warranty? WTH
 
don't know, mine are too new and have not had any warranty work........did you fill out the warranty information online?
 
Not sure if it is common but I know when I researched swaro their warranty page did say it is required. Now many have said they never had to provide so it may be a hit and miss thing. Just what I remember when considering buying used.
 
Just call the office, I have never heard of them asking for a receipt, you must have somebody new.
 
Update, I sent them the receipt, all is good. I did ask about my other EL's and the fact that I no longer have the receipt for them. They said no worry they are covered. Now just waiting for them to come back.
