Is this normal on a brand new Kowa?

I just received a brand new TSN-773 and
25-60x wide angle eyepiece (TE-11WZ 2) I ordered from S&S Archery. I set it up to check it out and noticed the eyepiece has what looks like a bubble in the glass. Not sure if it affects the picture but is this common? Is this something I should contact Kowa about?

I’d be sending that straight back. Even if it doesn’t affect the picture, you’re gonna have a tough time selling it if you ever decide. And that isn’t cheap glass.

You might be able to get them to send you an eye piece with a return shipping label so that you don't have to be without for some time.

I agree I be getting a replacement for that eyepiece. Personally I'd be giving s&s a call and see how they want to handle it.

That is definitely an inclusion in the optic. Defective.... not normal

The eyepiece probably was dropped and what you see is the glass has chipped. (I've had these issues with other telescope eyepieces.)

S&S should take it back via return. If they do not have a replacement, you could contact Paul. He will take care of you and make it right. That is not normal for Kowa.

Spoke to Rob and he corrected it right away...sending me a new one with a shipping label. Great experience with S&S!
