Silnet is diluted form of the silicone you use for sealing windows. You can dilute yourself with mineral spirits...but either way ,snail trails of silicone help keep you on these slippery pads

I have used Silnet on my lumbar pads and it has helped the slipping a lot. I have some pants with the silicone in the waist to help the slipping also. I am needing to do two other packs and want to try to put some in the waist of my cabelas microtech pants to help them from slipping when the packs on. I don't like a belt when the packs on. So I hoping the silicone was the same as Silnet to cover more projects.
Thanks

I had no issues staying on my Xtherm with my merino wool base layers directly on the pad and using a quilt. However, I discovered that I really need some snail trails on the bottom of the pad against the silnylon tent floor. Kept waking up with my feet crunched into the wall of the tent as it slid during the night.

I tried putting some snail trails of diluted silicone with mineral spirits on the bottom of my Xtherm. Every one of them peeled off. I'm not sure what's on the Xtherm bottom fabric, but getting the stuff to stay on just didn't work out for me. Let me know if you get something to stick please.
