Is it the body or the eye piece? Swarovski ATS scope defect

I just pieced together a swarovski angled scope (ATS). It was purchased used from 2 diferent buyers. One sold me the scope body and one the eye piece. Separately both parts look flawless but when put together and tried out there's an obvious defect , a dot/pin like round piece that you can clearly see when you look through . Now I'm not sure what part is the defective one so I can return it instead of returning both parts? Is there anyway you can help me identify the culprit or a way to check separately each piece?

Does the defect change depending on the zoom? Easiest way to tell would be a flash light or bright light into the lenses. This helped me figure out my eyepiece took a dump on a Gen 1 Razor back in the day. Actually found a screw laying in the eyepiece, right after it came back from their service department.

Other obvious way, is to hopefully have a friend with a body or eyepiece. Swap their eyepiece in. Swap your eyepiece in. Troubleshoot from there. Hope this helps.
