I just bought new from Iron Will the 100 grain standard broadheads. From 20, 30 and 40 yards I can hear that broad head as it flies to the target. I just got it Friday and was able to shoot it today. I've shot dozens of broadheads like slick trick, muzzy, magnus, etc and this is the only head that I can consistently hear going down range. My question is this for those of you who have the 100 grain vented heads, and have shot deer/hog sized game. Does the deer hear the heads coming when you are shooting 40 yards or more? If you've experienced this, or if you have the non-vented heads do they whistle like the vented ones do? i have 30 days to return or exchange...and will be contacting the company tomorrow.

Won’t make a difference IMO. They are making a solid 100 though for that reason. I pre ordered some solids, can’t wait to try them out. My Solid Legends make some noise while in flight and I’ve killed quite a few deer and elk with them with no issue.

What’s your opinion of the Solid Legends? Did you have any issues other than “some noise”? I’m considering trying them or the IW 100S.

I have had great luck with them, I’ve damaged a couple hitting bone but solid replaced them for free with their lifetime warranty.

They fly awesome for me out as far as I want to shoot. Was shooting them at 310fps this season and could shoot 4-6” groups consistently at 70. Mine are deep Six thread and I changed arrows so I’m going to try the iron wills.

I lost one two years ago when I missed a bull, found it this fall and cleaned it off. You can’t even tell which head it is now. Iron Will would be rusted probably past usable after sitting two winters and springs in the woods. The stainless is defiently awesome for that.
