I've been lurking on here since August, man it's good to find a forum that isn't dead! I'm 22 yrs old, from Manti Utah. I'm an engineering student at Weber State University in Ogden and work as a welder/fabricator when I'm not at school.
My dad has had me obsessed with hunting since I was a tiny kid. It seems like that's all me and my buddies have done for fun since elementary school. I always just used to hunt off the wheelers/truck etc like most sane people do. After a while I started getting an itch to hunt harder and harder. I was shopping for a new pack and ran onto a giant pack review thread on bowsite that Aron Snyder started. It really opened my eyes to a whole new kind of hunting I hadn't done before and got the gears oing in my brain. Ever since I've been getting farther and farther into it, and did my first backcountry multiday solo hunt this year. With that came lots of new knowledge and lots of expensive gear to put to the test.
I try to get out of state for at least one hunt per year as well. We've been hunting a ranch in Wyoming for several years and me and a couple buddies are trying out an Idaho rifle muley hunt for the first time this fall.
