Integrated pad/bag

Has anyone tried sewing or somehow attaching a quilt/sleeping bag to a sleeping pad? Seems like that would save weight and eliminate possible drafts with using a quilt. Maybe a zipper around three sides of the pad that zips the bag to the pad. Seems like the best of both worlds between a bag and a quilt.

What you are describing reminds me of the Big Agnes pad/bag sleeve system. I had one once and while it was nice not being able to roll off of the pad, if you forgot a pad, it went flat, or you want to use it without the pad, it kinda sucked. I'll have to check out the Zen bivy, looks interesting.
