I've been looking at Superfeet insoles. How do y'all decide which model to get? They all seem to say about the same thing in the description.

I also noticed that Kenetrek was offering supportive insoles. These will be going in Kenetrek boots. Anybody have any experience with the Kenetrek insoles?

Thanks.

The SF's are different, find a retailer and try them in your boots or shoes. I've used about all of them, currently using their (SF) hunt model.

Go to an rei or a stocking dealer with a clean pair of boots and try the different models of super feet. I still use the greens after a lot of years. The only gripe I have is they can add some height to the foot bed. This has been a problem in the toe box of one or two pair of boots over the years and prevented me from using them on certain makes of boots comfortably.

Don't overlook the Spenco Total Support line either. To me they are much more comfortable and fit my foot shape better. They have a wider heel where the superfeet will actually bruise the outsides of my heel because I overhang the heel cup and there isnt much between the plastic cup and your foot in that spot.

In the end its what insole volume and arch height fits your foot and makes the boot fit properly. Don't get caught up on what colors work for others start by finding the height of arch and size insole that fits your foot then start trying the different volume fits with that size and profile in the boot to find the correct fit with the sock you plan to wear.

If you want any padding orange is about all your left with.
Try it in your boots in store, they are fairly high volume.

I wouldn't say that I have flat feet. I do run regularly in pretty minimal shoes, my feet have kind of taken to a flat shape, but orange superfeet make my feet feel great, and best yet they lock my foot into my boots. IMO thier heel cup cannot be beat if your looking for all out support.

They make different support levels. They all feel similar to me. Best bet is to try them on. And I'd guess if your not used to that type of insole it will feel a little foreign to your feet at first.

I usually let my boot help dictate which SF model to use. My Kenetrek's have good arch support and the green SF work well. I have a pair of Asolo Sassalongs and Alico Summits that aren't as good and I have found that the orange model works best. I may have to give their hunt model a try the next time I replace a set.

Has anyone ever tried "ABEO" from "The Walking Store" ? I've been using them in my workout shoes, it just occurred to me so I checked, they've lasted really well and there was good reason I changed my WO insoles for them, I'm recalling now TWC 400 is what mine have stamped on the bottom - I've been a loyal SF Green in all of my Lowa boots since day one
