Who’s in to share some OG hunting pics of back in the day? I’ll go first. Mine isn’t super old but still fun finding this in the archives.

First bull ‘03, sophomore in high school, lever action 300 savage that my uncle STILL uses to this day. Still haven’t shot anything much bigger 17 years later. Haha

Grandpa with his first Oregon whitetail at 50-something years old. Shot it on the ranch where he grew up and I went on to kill my first buck a few years later.

I was 10 (in glasses) with my little brother who was 8 in the photo. Yes, I've always been the runt. Lol. It's the first big game critter I remember being around. Man, what a passion it started!

He's got old horsepack elk hunting photos in a big old binder at the house. Might have to flip through them when I visit this holiday season. Thanks for starting the thread!

i wish mine weren't all on actual photos.... it was awhile before i got a digital camera, and later a cell phone that takes pictures.... i like these threads, love seeing the old pics!

none of mine are very old (i'm 36) but i still enjoy looking at those pics, going back to those hunts, and remembering my mindset back then.... i miss those days, woods were empty during bow season, and i was making moves on every legal critter i encountered, non stop action... non stop mistakes.... non stop fun.

i am the first hunter in my family as far back as i know of, with nobody to show me the ropes.... my early learning curve was steep, and i feel really lucky that's how i learned.... i was forced to find my own hunting style, which i think has been very beneficial as time went on.

hope some more pics are posted here, cool thread!

Mine are not terribly old, but full of great memories.

here is a rubbermaid full of gas being siphoned back into the one good gas tank.
The 68 bronco got us into some great elk hunting on the worst Jeep road ever.
punctured a tank getting in. As soon as we got to the spot, we emptied the Rubbermaid and put it under the leak. Once the tank was empty we moved the gas to the second tank.

Same spot, couple years later. Ripped a shock off the 68 bronco that trip.

Different trip again, coming out heavy.

At 36 I wouldn't think I'd be too old for a thread like this, but I felt old when I had to look up what you meant by "OG". Either way, I'm enjoying the pics. I don't have much to contribute as my dad wasn't one to pack a camera when I was starting out so I didn't start getting hunting photos till I had a cell phone. Seeing the gear used in these photos does bring back some memories for me and I wish I has some photos to go along with those memories. I don't have a photo of my first mule deer or elk. It's great to see some from you guys on here!
