Idaho unit 12

Been doing some e scouting for unit 12 and just didn’t know if anyone had any pointers?
Not looking for specific spots or anything like that. Feel free to message me

Look for areas that have food cover and water north or north east facing slopes. Same stuff you would e scout for any other unit. I’d say screw google earth and use a topo map if you want to know how steep it is

It’s tough hunting the animal density is low and there are a lot of wolves. It also gets extremely thick, which makes it hard to travel cross country. There could be a semi truck parked 10 yards away and you wouldn’t see it. Also makes it easy to get turned around or drift off course. You can shoot me a pm with your plans and I’ll give my 2 cents on it.

The wolves really moved in the past few years. If you see wolves or wolf sign in the area find a new area.

My guess is that is some very difficult country to scout! I hunted it a couple of times 3-5 years ago. It's thick and steep, and I heard way more than I ever saw! Good luck!
