Idaho Spring Bear Info?

So my dad and I, and a coulple buddies want to drive out to Idaho this next spring to hunt bears. Im looking at hunting unit 39, but have a few questions since im 13 hours away.

I wont, be running bait, because like i said im 13 hours away. But is this a unit that its necessary to run bait, or are we able to spot and stalk and glass? I dont know much about Idaho, but i have been on their website and have been researching it a bit. Im starting early that way i can get enough info to be ready next spring.

Also, i hunt bears here in Az, but im pretty sure its a different type of hunting there.

39 is a big unit (as you've probably seen) with lots of varied terrain. Depending on where you are you can find some good areas to glass, or get into the trees. A lot of guys I know use bait, but I dont think it's 100% necessary.
