Heard it was a cluster duck today. I'm in the 5 day prison, maybe something will be left on the backside.

I really enjoy this setup. People are going to fuss about whatever they can when they don't get the tag they want. In Idaho you have the chance to do a complete random draw, true OTC for residents, and then this option too. It's three options rarely given in any other state and all of them give you better odds than most other state's point systems.

It could be a little quicker but overall it's an exciting option. Sorry you didn't get your tag but thankfully you still have plenty of other options to pick up a OTC tag.

It’s already basically a draw it just happens live and real time. I kinda like it.

I'm ok with capped tags. Just get the software and a network that can handle the traffic. Last year, when they had the CWD tags people stood in line up here for 12 hours only to find out the machine at the regional headquarters was down. Today, I stood in line for an hour like last year, the machine would not work because the network can't handle the system they have in place. You don't see this issue in the private sector when people buy first come first serve tickets for a concert or sporting events online or in person.

Online was a dumpster fire, said **** it and went to dB and bought the remaining tags we needed in 5 minutes. It was less than 750 through the cue an hour in.

We got our 5 tags we needed.

I think it boiled down to the "Que-it" or whatever the hell that garbage virtual line system was. They need to dump that vendor and find a better setup. That or give a 3 minute checkout window instead of 20 to each batch. Logged on at 9:40, got number 1753 in line and couldn't get in until sometime after 11:30. Contemplated bailing out and driving to a human but I was fearing the physical vendors would have similar issues.

I do like the virtual random draw system though. Might have to just schedule a day off work to deal with the theatrics. Just make it work!

It's what happens when IDFG is told to accept the lowest bid on their system. You get this. Fortunately I didn't have to play that game this time around.

Sounds like they used the same system as they do for nonresidents. The virtual que lottery isn’t fun.

I’ll tell you, I am getting tired of standing in line earlier and earlier every year. But for a 1/2 day of waiting to hunt the zone I love, I’ll keep doing it…. Now I will say being a federal entity, you’d think their server would be able to handle the shit show the happens.

I was the first in-line with 2 tags. I didn’t leave until 10:40 with the second tag. First tag didn’t print until 10:20

This sounds like the mess back in December. Hope something changes
It is. It's the same mess nonresidents deal with, it just is quite as long because a few thousand people are logging in as opposed to 20,000 like last December for nonresidents.
