Is it crashing on people or are they just mad because they got a bad number in line? I kind of like it, it’s not officially a draw it’s more like a draft and you can change your strategy as tags become unavailable rather than like a draw where you just get a flat out unsuccessful.

I can tell you this the system sucks. My son was in line as a non resident. When his time came to purchase a tag, he got bumped off. Called IDFG, and discovered his last name had been changed. After a month of phone calls and e mails. It was discovered the Idaho division of drivers licensing and the Idaho fish and game sites had some how interfaced. Resulting in my sons last name being changed. The rest of his profile was unchanged.

Final result, IDFG admitted the mistake and awarded him his tag.

It's not that bad. Shoot, a buddy and I were able to get tags while 600 miles from home on a camping trip, using just our phones. The days of plentiful tags and easy OTC purchases are over. Hanging out at your desk for an hour to buy tags isn't the worst thing ever.

Good for him and you! I was in line for the returned tag sale for non res round #1. Sat in the lobby got sent through the random number generator and it told me I was #2 in line! (One of my friends ended up 1400) it brought me into the system immediately and I moved AS FAST AS I COULD CLICK and was not able to secure my tag they were taken. I have been in the return tag sale each month and learned about 140 people AT ONE TIME get brought into the system to check out tags and that does you no good when there is less than 20 tags available. It’s not even a luck of the draw thing it’s who has the fastest internet connection thing.

If he’s a non resident why would the Idaho driver’s license be any sort of issue?

I have no clue. When he was bumped off the system, we called IDFG. Person whom he spoke with asked lots of questions. Like DOB, SSN, email, Home state drivers license number. ECt

The Idaho rep informed him that he was looking at a profile with all that same info. But with a diff last name.

My son had an auto renew on his hunting license, which went into effect on 12/01 at 0001. That purchase was done with his given last name. I do believe that is what save him,

IDFG was great to work with, once they discovered the problem.

We were told that the Fish and game site had interfaced with the Division of drivers licensing. We’re also informed this had happend to 4-5 others.

I really hope all of this is a fad, i like our system but the queue gets longer every year and it’s always the unit that is most talked about and the most publicized that runs out the quickest (crazy how that happens). I wanted a S-B tag but wasn’t able to get one after only being 2700th in queue?

Yes sir, called the division of licensing. Was shocked that he got through. Never received confirmation about tags until several days prior to xmass.

Even for residents it's nothing less than a shit show. Servers are junk and always crash. Idaho needs to figure something out because things are getting stupid.
