Notwithstanding the age of this thread, there is a serious message here - everyone with a history of heart disease in their family needs to determine their calcium score AND engage in additional medical intervention if warranted. That can only be done with a CT angiogram of the heart with contrast. Dr. Peter Attia's book "Outlive, the Science and Art of Longevity," indicates that in 25% of the cases of fatal heart attacks, the first sign of potential heart problems is an individual's sudden death. Don't think that because you "eat clean," exercise, have a low BMI and good blood numbers you're in the clear.
