K wipe the drool off the screen now :p

I am selling my Bow to get this Bow. Thats a separate Venture. I am still perusing the Tipi. Think Im hanging onto the MMR with Duplex and selling off my Late Season with its Accessories. =-)

Id actually like to know what percentage of this bow is actually carbon. It's an injected molded riser so I would be curious to know just how much carbon is in the resin to where they can claim its "carbon".

I saw this too, and then saw the price, then scratched my head.

Looking forward to hearing what you think on it. Knowing bowtechs track record (don't get butt hurt bowtech people) And the build of the 'carbon', im going to wait to see what there is to be said about it after some more use.

If it lives up to what it sounds like, I might try one out. The specs are just what I like, and I wouldn't mind a nice light, short bow for backpacking around with.

Makes a guy wonder what bowtech is going to roll out for their 2014 flagship bow, might it be carbon??

Why does this matter? I'm no carbon manufacturing expert. As long as it is light and strong I don't see how it would make a difference. I shot this bow and liked it better than the Hoyt carbon bows. Too short for me... I'll wait til they come out with a longer one... probably this year. I like the solid limb... congrats on the new bow. Ed F

I havent gotten it yet all the reviews on Youtube are very positive. Its shipping out tomorrow I should have it by Saturday I hope. Soon as I have it in hand I will throw up a review on it.

Besides the Liberty Bow this is the lightest bow on the Market now. Beating out the Helium by .3 lbs 30.5 draw length on a 31 inch ata bow is pretty darn unheard of unless you go with a low end Bear bow. So that makes it bit more of a challenge for my 31 inch draw but I will make it work for that weight savings. really looking forward to slinging some carbon down range with this. Cannot wait.

Rumors are its carbon Bow coming out for the ATA from Bowtech. But Hoyt also has rumors flying of a Carbon Spyder Bow. So we shall see. Definitely a step up in the right direction for the 2014 bows hitting the Market. Bear Bows are also looking pretty darn competitive. The Agenda 6 and 7 are getting some pretty rave reviews.

The Elite Energy is also making its Mark. People are really liking how shootable the 35 is. Good times to be an archer right now.

Bowunter I got Armyjoe coming out also to shoot it I will make sure we get some good reviews going so people can make an educated decision. Im also working on getting my local shop to start hanging Bowtechs on their wracks. They are trying to sell out thier 2013 lineup before ordering new bows. And Bowtech requires a minimum order.

I think if you are going to market something as "carbon" it should contain a certain percentage of carbon. If the riser is only 5% carbon and the other 95% is a polymer resin then I think it would be misleading to call it an actual carbon riser.

Id like to see your source on this OR Archer. Im sure they have a specific blend they have to use to get them to be stout and not flex but That just doesnt sound right. Most things carbon Fiber are wrapped with a resin in the mix. Thats what keeps it from splintering. If you can show me the production steps or place where you found your 5/95 ratio Id be interested in reading it.

I was just using that ratio as an example. I am curious to know the actual ratio of carbon to other materials in their process.

OK... I still don't know what difference it would make... as long as it is strong, light, durable, shoots... It's obviously different from the Hoyt. I'm sure it's a different manufacturing process. I'm not sure what the right ratio would be for a manufacturer to be able to call it a "carbon" riser. I like the bow and don't get caught up in marketing verbage... If they come out with a longer one, I'm going to consider getting one. Ed F

agreed Ed. I like the short version even though Im a long draw. I want it very manuveralable.

It will be interesting to see how a 31" ATA bow does in a 30.5" DL. I shoot a Carbon Hoyt with a 32" ATA and 27.5" DL and find it borderline too short, as the peep is quite far from my face.

It's injection molded and the ratio of carbon fibres will be close to that for other molded blends such as a glass filled nylon, maybe 30% fibre. The guesses so far are that the mtl is Zytel. Without an xray I would guess there is an aluminum or magnesium frame inside that doubles as the supports for mounting hardware and stabilizers and would also help with compression and torsional rigidity.
Have fun with that new bow....
