I have for sale a Husqvarna Prewar Mauser 98 action rifle Model 146 chambered in 9.3x62. Asking for $1000 shipped to your FFL.
If you want to see comparable rifles, you can check out the ads by Greene Sporting Goods on GunBroker (I got it from them).
I bought it as a simple, rugged hunting rifle that would be easy to carry up a mountain and put anything it hit DRT. It answers readily to that description, but since I got shoulder surgery, I have not been keen on shooting it. I've fired it approximately 40 times. Shooting it off a rest, I was getting consistent 2-MOA groups using some ammunition that was advertised as factory seconds, but which I strongly suspect to just be low-quality reloads. When shooting the groups, I was literally going through the boxes trying to find the ones that were seated to approximately the same depth. I think it has excellent accuracy potential as a hunting rifle and I originally planned to reload for it. But since I don't like shooting it at all, much less the thought of working up loads for it, I just need to let it go. We have another one in my family, so I am hanging on to the dies and components for it.
The rifle weighs approximately 8.3# in the current configuration (counting scope and sling). If I remember correctly, it is approximately 7.1# without the scope and mount. Some Swedish gunsmith installed the side safety a long time ago. When I got it, it had a large plastic ball as a bolt knob (a fairly common modification made by Swedish moose hunters - they used target bolt knobs intended for the Swedish Mauser). This was slightly cracked and felt cheap, so I replaced it with a CZ extended throw knob. Action cycles well. It has a two-stage trigger that is quite crisp. I have not had any mechanical issues with the rifle.
The 9.3x62 is an excellent cartridge. I would happily use it on any terrestrial animal on this planet. It's still going strong after 120 years and is available in a variety of factory loadings.
I mounted a Bausch & Lomb Balfor (4x) scope on it as an experiment to see how well the old B&L system worked on a relatively light rifle with relatively heavy recoil. It seems to hold up well. Because I had to do some modification to the scope mount to make it work with this rifle, I am leaving it on the rifle. It should be only a matter of minutes to remove it and replace it with a different one. If you don't want it, I can remove the B&L mount and scope before shipping.
If you have any questions or need additional pictures, please ask.
