I have a kindle paperwhite (black and white) that I love reading books on much more than paper copies. But the downfall is when there are lots of images, charts and diagrams it just doesnt lend itself well to that. Would I be selling myself short by reading this on the kindle or would it be better to shell out the extra cash and get the hard copy?

I started reading in the kindle and switched over to my Ipad to take full advantage of the pictures. He had a great chapter on recognizing Buck country that would just not be the same on my B&W Kindle.

Hi,
probably the hardcopy book if you only have a BW Kindle. But if you have a color Kindle, way better experience with all that color.

I wish I could have afforded to go with a color book, but just no way could I shell out that kinda money.

Elkoholic is right on that Chapter, BW doesn't do it justice.

Thanks for the support you guys.

I have read the book twice on my B&W kindle without any problems. i also bought the hard copy for my Dad and didn't feel like I was missing much. Maybe having both would be best!

Durangobrad,
I am in Durango and have the book. Send me a PM if you want to read it. I will lend it to you.

I read it with the kindle app on my iPhone this year on vacation. At the beach in Alabama wishing I was in the mountains tracking a big monster Muley through the snow. I really enjoyed the book.

Same here. I switched to the kindle app on my laptop and PC for reading this book. Actually, that book is how I found this awesome website!
