Hi Guys i wanted to post up and see how many people would be interested to hunt red stag in Australia and other deer species . We have 7 species of deer and 3 of the 7 just in my state.

I would love to do a swap hunt if i can for any american game and would be more than welcome to let anyone use any of my properties FREE OF CHARGE that range from 7000 acres to 9000 acres in size and all hold plenty of red stag and are all wild not pen raised. On any given day i can see 40 to 50 stags in a bachelor heard and does plenty more.

In my state we have red stag , rusa and fallow and other states hold sambar , chitail and hog deer. There are 2 sub species of rusa deer. I could possibly try get you onto a buffalo too.

Photos are from this season

I would love too but not sure I could afford the trip down under. What game would you want to hunt up here?

Seeing you are from Alabama would love a nice White-tail Deer and would love to hunt Bobwhite Quail with some quality gun dogs. Not sure what dogs you sue in america but i have been using Brittany Spaniels all my life.

Not sure how much ticket prices are would i would imagine they would be close to $2k for down under

At times I do fairly well calling cats. Our deer are not as big as in the northern states but they are some fair ones and are most vulnerable in January and February. There are some quail operations around but now days they use released birds. I do pretty well on otc elk but have not killed a big one yet.

You probably should have an elk tag in your pocke and when you sheep hunt. I am probably going to do that same sheep hunt soon. Getting gear ready for such a hunt has been my challenge. You probably could combo the sheep with elk as the sheep season closes when elk is getting good.

That is my plan i will be getting both tags into my pocket as i hope to get a month of work so i can soend a month in montana and have a really good crack at it. Main mission os sheep but unlimited units are the toughest hunts in america the terrain does not go easy on you at all. Some steep country there.

I have not been a guy to look at deer size as long as it is a decent trophy it is all that matters to me really. Send me a bobcat hahahahahaha

I think you would have firearm licencing issues with overseas hunters, unless they are bowhunting only.

There wont be any issues fill out the correct paperwork in america and when you land in OZ apply for a visitors hunting permit or apply before hand. I can find out what paperwork is needed on my end

We are flying Christchurch to Sydney feb 28th to march 20th

I'll be in Alaska all next summer but if you want to apply for Wyoming hunts first week in October I can probably help logistically. We usually chase does and cow elk although I could be tempted to eat some hard antler.. prairie rats with an ar15 are fun
