Ok, so I bought some clothing touting this new technology. It recommends you wash it in TX.DIRECT WASH IN. My question to anyone who owns some of it is, do you have wash brand new garments in this? Or can you use any other hunting clothing wash the first time? As I read the directions it says to use 10 ozs on max three garments. Also that "to maintain waterproofing always wash with Nikwax Tech Wash".

Just washed my kuiu tiburon pants (2) and my Attack pants in the TX.Direct as well. I only washed them after i had worn them a lot. No need to wash new if they are DWR treated. I also sprayed my Sita Jetstream sofshell with Graingers Tent and gear waterproof treatment, hope that works. Would like the Jetstream to work n light showers and snow. Got in a downpour last year and the DWR just gave up. Took forever to dry out, but its my favorite go to jacket.

Katdaddy213, just read my directions on the TXDirect wash, it says 3oz per garment up to 3 garments per 10 ozs. I found in my front loading washer, that only 9-10 ozs fills up detergent resovoir. Maybe thats why they say only 3 items per 10 ozs.. Just a thought.
