Just looking for suggestions and pictures here - how do you run your Timberline Pack?

I'm interested in lightening it up if at all possible.

I'm thinking of running a guide lid on it to add some versatility, it currently has no lid. So I'm interested in how folks are utilizing those too.

Thanks for the ideas!

i have a heavily modded T2.
longhunter lid- belt removed. belt openings sewn up, top seam of the belt pocket unpicked and a zip added to create a pocket.

as for the pack- meat shelf and side pockets are both gone. (looks like an AMR now) with the material that was cut off i made 2 side pockets like kifaru makes. they can be attached on the sides via compression straps as per normal. two rows of pals webbing was added on the sides between the compression straps to accept pockets.
also added a snow collar like a T1. so i now have a T1/AMR hybrid in a T2 sized pack. and loving it!!

This is exactly what I'm looking for, thanks.

I definitely don't see myself using the common loops inside the bottom of the pack.

I'm not sure how I feel about removing the sleeping bag compartment divider.

I assume that's what Ozzy means by "meat shelf"?

I guess it can be used as a shelf to keep the meat in the upper portion of the pack and higher on the shoulders to carry the weight better. That seems like a useful function but only when you don't need the extra space for meat.

I could also see myself removing one side pocket, probably not two.
