How long between shot for load work up (Blackhorn 209)

Not doing time between shots rifle never seemed to heat up that much, just started with 90 and worked up, 100gbv was giving me speed and grouping I wanted, so I stopped there.

Time between shots: Depends on ambient temps, charge weights and bullet (shooting sabots?).

If you’re shooting saboted bullets you can’t let the barrel get too hot. Heat will also wreck a plastic skirt on a skirted conical and dispersion will suffer. In average temps, most of us wait 5-10 min between shots.

Curious what others rituals are for doing load workups on muzzleloaders. Time between shots etc?
If you're going to be shooting bullet to bore, load and shoot. No waiting required.

When shooting the "weakest link" (sabot), wait until the barrel cools down.

With muzzleloader the key is to be consistent. Number of shots between cleaning or simple spit patch, pressure on wad, pressure placed on bullet are they three I focus on. Oh and I pre weigh all my powder because I have some ocd.

Time between shots probably not something I would worry about unless you have plastic like mentioned.
