Looking at getting a Hilleberg Akto and was wondering how light people have been able to get that tent by cutting off items like zipper pulls and such? I really like their reputation and they sound nearly bomb proof, I would just like the tent a tad lighter.

I just weighed mine. 3 pounds 3 5/8 oz with tent, stuff sack for tent, stuff sack for stakes, 10 stakes, pole, and sleeve to fix pole. I have removed zipper pulls and replaced with cord.

Thanks for the replies guys. The Enan looks alright too but just 3 season rated and more expensive, however it is a bit lighter compared to the Akto cut down.

I have the Enan and prefer to use it floorless without the nest. Doubles the room available and reduces weight significantly.

charvey9,
What's the weight of the Enan without the inner? Thanks

Can't remember exactly, but want to say the inner nest weighs something like 14oz. Hilleberg lists the minimum weight of the tent at 1lb 15oz, which seems about right when you drop the nest.

I know the Jannu inner tent is almost exactly 2 pounds. The Enan would likely be about half or maybe 20 oz total weight I would guess.
