How cold can you go?

Running a merino base layer, puffy, and hard shell, how cold of temps are you comfortable in? I realize while hiking and moving you can stand pretty cold temps, due to generating heat from activity, but what about sitting on a ridge glassing for an hour or two?

Depending upon the thickness of the puffy, that is all I wear all year long on my upper body (except after mid to late October I will add a midweight merino or fleece layer to supplement my puffy as needed, or to wear over the base layer while moving and when my puffy is too hot).

From late October on (i.e. regularly 25 degrees and below), the main things I change is bringing warmer gloves and hats, and I bring puffy pants if I will be sitting a lot.

+1 to Mike7, thats pretty much exactly what I do. The actual temp you can go to will latgely depend on the specific items. All layered up i can do -30ish semi frequently backpacking in the winter. With average hunting thickness items i would say you would be good to at least 20F, assuming you also have gloves and beanie

It all depends on your body and obviously what brand and weight of clothing but I'm comfortable for that period of time with my Kryptek merino, kifaru puffy and Kryptek rain jacket into the 30's but I'll have to move around after an hour or so. I'll add a fleece layer to be more comfortable. I generally run a little colder than most.
