How are you carrying your Swaro 95mm?

Those of you packing the Swaro 95mm spotting scope, how are you packing it? Apparently, the Kifaru spotting scope pocket does not fit the ATX version.

I carry my 65 attached to the tripod and strapped on the backpack. Faster access that way.

It's kind of a pain. Like packing water or something? Heavy and annoying but a must have so you deal with it. I usually put it inside of my Exo but on occasion i use my Outdoorsman case and strap to the outside of the pack. It's looks dumb but does work. I guess I should mention it's the BTX but the 95mm lens.

I was gonna say a sherpa lol

Yeah...no kidding. When I first saw that 95MM rig I was thinking who the heck needs that monster?

But then I took a peek and my buddy had to literally pry me away from it. It really is like comparing a computer screen to a big screen TV. Crazy nice.

Now packing it short distances is not a big deal in a daypack....though it does take up a lot of room.

If you are trekking 30 miles into the Tok for sheep- then Mr, you got the wrong scope, IMHO. Not only does it increase your backpack loads bulk...it just puts you over the top.

A marsupial case, it has the molly webing on the side and it lashes to a pack really nice like an external spotting scope pocket

Mine stays in my pack under the center zip. I'm running a SG pack now, but do the same with my Kifaru EMR II.

Thanks for the responses, I may be looking at the marsupial case. I don't think the Outdoorsman's case is being sold anymore. Has anyone tried carrying it in two pieces?

Also, just a headsup for the weight weanies ;) Buy the Nightforce carbon fiber tripod. Two of the legs come off to be used as walking sticks saving you 1lb off your tripod. Take that 1lb and put it towards some heavy ass glass.

If you aren't using walking sticks in the mountains, you don't know what you are missing. I have forgot them at home before and turned around and drove 45 minutes back to the house to get them.

I'm also another fan of the marsupial gear case and i have mine also wrapped with the konex outdoors neoprene cover on it as well, but mine is the BTX 85mm wrapped in the neoprene cover and it fits perfectly into the 95mm marsupial case
