I don't know if anybody else had problems with the stock waist belt on this pack, but it drove me crazy and rubbed my hip bones bad. I found another forum where somebody replaced it with a omni belt. But I was really un sure if I was going to keep the pack, I bought a molle ii waist belt off of amazon for $7.99 in desert camo and got it to fit with very little modification. I also put two MA-26 accessory pouches on for gps, camera etc. which work great. What a difference I could actually stand to use the pack now, and used it all archery season. Anyway I thought this might help anybody else that may be having issues.

That's awesome! Was there much of a weight difference going to the molle?
I talked with the owner the other day about the hip belt and some other things. He said they have changed the full curl system including the hip belt for 2014. Pockets will be the same however.
I will disclose I field staff for HH so I'm always interested.
Nice job

I never did weigh the pack to check, I always pack 10 times more "stuff" than I need anyway. But I am glad they have addressed it. I talked to them once and they really didn't seem like they wanted any feedback. They make a good pack, for a frame that has no torso or shoulder height adjustments it still fit me pretty good. The ability to add or remove bags and haul game out with the load shelf and the wings to tighten things up. Don't tell OPW.. I like it alot better than my X1A1,so I sold it. Now I'm switcthing over to Kifaru, I think the nomad is going to be perfect. Add bags or remove when you need to and then the wings to tighten everything down. They also look to be more functional as they hold alot of gear. But the price point is close to triple the HH combo, I guess I'm like alot of other guys always in "search" of the perfect pack. Thanks for the feedback, I'll have to check out the other changes they made.

I'm sure you will be happy with your choice. Kifaru seems to put out very good merchandise and the nomad looks great. They have no shortage of customer loyalty so that says a lot. I've never used their packs but many seem to love them.

The HH full curl will have some changes, a slightly different hip belt, stronger hip belt buckle (though my current one has never gave me any problems)
The material is different and the full system will be around 1lb lighter. A couple other small changes I believe.
Those are the changes I know of anyways. Should see them around June I was told.

I would wait for the newer full curl to come out soon. Weight savings is a benefit in the newer one. I've got an exo on order but if I was still to use an off the wall pack for under $350. The full curl system is the only one that I fully trust and have used with confidence. I don't staff for them anymore and really am just giving my honest opinion. It's the taller torso people that wouldn't like it maybe. My Torso is 18.5 and it's perfect fwiw

Three caribou quarters. Packout was less than 1/4 mile however this load was extremely comfortable and carried Very well. Hard to see load lifter angle but I usually achieve a nice 45* as the frame sits nice and high above the shoulders.

one of the owners emailed me back today about the release.
They are shipping out new revised packs right now and have been for over a month I guess.
Their site is http://sophuntinggear.com/

Seems to still have original weights and pictures of the old model posted on the site however for the full curl models they are in fact shipping the newer pack.
He's gonna let me know when he reposts his blog about the changes and I'll through it up on here.

my guess is that the other sites throwing the deals out are getting rid of their current stock of previous models. Still killer deals just not the lighter newest release.

If you see deals on the predator camo ones, personally I would pick a different pattern. Predator was the heaviest fabric they used and my full system was almost 9 pounds. Frame, camp bag, and day pack

New bags are already out there. I ordered mine from Packfitter.com. Here's a pic of the new back and waist belt. Been comfortable for me doing training hikes of 70# for 4-8 miles. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1403286156.745218.jpg

It's not hypalon that I know of. It's a type of "air mesh" over foam padding. Feels about 1-1.5" thick foam. It's very comfortable and doesn't slip at all. Here are a few close ups. Hope you can see what I'm describing. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1403573876.735511.jpg
