Hogg Father

Ive got a 5 pin, large guard, all five pins are .019 green. I'll be putting a 100 yd tape on it.

I had a Hogg Father early last year and got rid of it to save weight and hunted with a CBE all last year. I liked the Hogg Father more and I'm willing to make the weight sacrifice now again.....

I Don't shoot the Hogg father anymore. Went to the smaller/lighter tommy Hogg.

I have a single up .10 pin model which I can shoot to 140 yards and a 5 pin model all .10 pins.

I had a 3-pin small guard and got rid of it. Dumb move. I ran green 29, 19 and 10 thousandths, top to bottom.

Now I'm thinking 4 pins and large guard for 20-50 (trick pin).

I run a Real Deal and it is awesome but I really want to maximize my long range target work.

I have a single pin Father green 19.
I was sighted in to 100 yards. After 100 I had clearance issues with my ramcats.

One this I don't like is the weight on the Father. But it's built like a brick s**t house!

I shoot the Tommy Hogg also with .10 single pin. Routinely shoot out to 100 and beyond. Really like this setup.

How are you guys using one pin for a variety of yardages?

I have not seen anyone in the archery league I am in use 1 pin. Not that, that tells me much.

Hm. So you know exactly where you need to move the pin when a target is at a different yardage than the pins current placement?

I use a sight tape program to print my marks. Others just pencil in marks.

3 pins on a small guard Father. All are .019 and green. 25-40-50. Bottom pin is the floater. Have a tape to 125, but can go a little farther if I want, at least on my Spiralized 737. Not sure yet on the CS34.
