Just curious how many of you Hilleberg tent owners run the groundtarp/sheet under your tent? I'm thinking of ditching it to save weight on my sheep hunt. Just bought my first Hilleberg tent this spring.

I typically don’t. The bottom material is really strong but I do occasionally run just the footprint and fly without the inner in nice weather

I have one for my allak 2, I use it sometimes but it adds about a pound to an already heavy tent.

I keep a small sheet of Tyvek under my sleeping pad that stick out about a foot around all sides of the pad. Super light and rolls right up with my pad.

I always throw a cut piece of TYVEK under any tent I pitch. Regardless of floor or not and regardless of ground type. Tents are too expensive not to protect with light and cheap Tyvek.

I've never used a ground sheet under my Unna. I do run it without the floor/inner 90% of the time anyway though.
