A while back I found a site that had a very small ti wood stove. Was coffee can sized but cone or kiln shaped with a small maybe 2 inch pipe. Not Ti Goat, Seek Outside, Kifaru or the majors. It was a niche maker of a unique product. Am I ringing any bells?

I want a small devive to take the chill off with minimal weight in a Granite Mountain or other small floorless shelter.

Thanks

Looking for the smallest collapsible possible for rare late season jaunts where I want to just take the chill off under a small shelter like a jimmy Tarp with vestibule. Suggestions if I can't find one of these? Thanks

Kevin from Seek Outside is somewhat active on the forums here. I believe his handle is kevint. You might see if you can get in touch with him. Perhaps they can make one or help you along the DIY route.

Taking a slightly different approach, you would be amazed at how much heat you can get from a candle lantern, a can of sterno, or an esbit stove under a tarp. You may not need a stove to accomplish your goal.

Interesting....how is the smell and moisture. I have just fired up my whisperlite but don't like the moisture factor. Chimney options are drying.

Kovea Fireball works great in single wall tent with a roof vent (SL5 or similar). I posted a detailed review on Amazon.

I can't speak to sterno or esbit, although I think the smell would be pretty bad. But a candle lantern can definitely take the chill out of a tent. I do it backpacking every winter.
As to moisture, if it's cold enough, you'll wake up to ice crystals for sure. But that'll happen just from exhaling all night.
Increasing ventilation can help, but it let's in the cold too. Catch 22.
