I found this discharge while scouting for Elk on a logging road in the Oregon Coast. Two approximately 1 or 1.5 Oz within a 2 feet. Is this some sort of animal puke?

I did a quick search and it might be some sort of mysterious star jelly, a type of cyanobacteria, or fungus.

Good to know you've seen it as well. Have you made any correlation with Elk & the Jello? I am asking because I found decent elk activity in the area where this jello was found.

I did a quick search and it might be some sort of mysterious star jelly, a type of cyanobacteria, or fungus.

That's what I got from googling, I found this in middle of a gravel road and any vegetation was like 10 feet away.

Article on BBC trying to figure out this substance found in Scotland.

i found a smaller batch of this stuff and sent a sample to a lab in California. For a few hundos I learned the results were largely algae and the gelatin is sort of like the waste product of that microbial mass. A quick google search agrees with previous posts
