Hello I live in the mountains of Virginia and am planning/hoping to do a elk hunt within the next 3 or 4 years. Been mostly scouting the internet so far and this seems to be the best forum I have found. Ya'll really seem like a family here alot like the forum I help run for Virginia (so i am no stanger to the online hunting forum also) and are more geared toward DIY, which i like also. I am no stranger to DIY hunting the past 3 years we have been doing a DIY public land pig hunt in georgia, traveling from Virginia.
I have been lurking a week or two and reading articles on this site, very informative. Figured I would go ahead and join up and start asking questions!
I am looking to eventually do OTC Colorado, although I would like to take my dad out first, possibly to a drop camp, cause I dont think he could handle the DIY camping. So i will be looking for info on DIY and possibly decent outfitters as well.
Anyway enough about me, glad to be a part of this forum and hopefully learning ALOT
