Heavy smoke and state land closed

Woke up early to the state elk opener, only to find out that DNR here closed there land for hunting until the 17th, and the smoke is heavy in my area...

That's a sweet hunting rig though. Can probably fit almost an entire quarter in the trunk.

Tough year everywhere out west with smoke and fire closures. Need some moisture!

That's for sure, gonna be a very short hunting season since elk season on state land opens on the 17th

I live in South Eastern Washington and we have about 500 yard visibility right now and heavy thick smoke.

Ours was down to about 300 yards but now it's about 500... thick smoke and makes the animals not move, but our state land access has been shut down until the 17th now for elk and it opened yesterday, so very hard to find a elk spot, or if you have private you can hunt that, so we're limited until further notice
