When shooting turkey are you going for head and neck shots? Seems like a much higher chance of a miss. Are there benefits other than an instant kill?

Less chance of wounding, get some Magnus bullheads or similar if you are going head hunting, I have head shot a few with an open Grim Reaper whitetail special.

Turkey vitals are really small and tricky to hit in some cases like a strutting broadside bird!

I like shooting them in the back not strutting with mechanical heads.

One benefit of the head/neck shot is that it is usually either a dead bird or a clean miss.
I also prefer a big mechanical for body shots, something with a 2" cut or more.
