Went in to have some hardware remove from a previous osteotomy (3 2.5 inch screws and 2 plates/washers) in right knee. Fairly routine procedure with minimal if any recovery.
Turns out bone had grown over the hardware and it had to be cut out. Now looking like a much more in depth recovery. I am still in PT for my shoulder and will be doing double duty for the knee.
Wondering if anyone has had anything similar done and could share their experiences. This is cutting it awful close to my elk season (3 weeks in Colorado) and I imagine I am going to lose even more prep time recovering. Really wondering if the bone being cut on was noticeable hiking around with a pack only 10 weeks out.
