Looking for a slightly less stiff boot than my Kenetrek HS hikers. I've narrowed it down to these two, so will probably just order both and return the other, but looking to see if anyone has experience with both. Superfeet green insoles improved my heel blister situation on the HS hikers but still get a hot spot after a while. Both are a 3 on the gohunt stiffness scale.

I know the Salewas are a newer model so may not be much feedback on them yet.

Thanks all.

I have owned a few pairs of Salewa Mountain Trainers over the years. Currently own a pair of Makra Treks and they have been possibly my favorite boot I’ve owned. I would say they have a stiffer midsole than the Salewas. I’ve been impressed with how well the Makras have held up in the year that I’ve owned them. In my experience, Salewa has not proven exceptionally durable. My biggest complaint with the Makra initially was heel slip, but I experimented with a few different lacing methods and switched to superfeet trailblazers have had no blisters or hotspots since then.
