Forum member Stid2677 is helping me post some animal photos, Goat, Bear, Sheep. ( He posts some of the best hunting photos I have seen, they really get my blood up, and get me thinking about future trips!!!!)

My photos are not very good quality, as they are scanned from photos that were developed from old school slides!! I know, pretty old technology!!

Anyways, maybe they will get folks thinking about hunting in general and maybe even taking the short barreled guns out every now and then!!

Thanks Stid!!

Yes, I sold the Super a few years ago, just like the standard Redhawk better. The Super is a lot better trigger design, and some like the grip better.

I am using the Freedom Arms 83 nowadays, .454 and will soon have a 8 1/2 " .44 mag , octagon barrel that will probably become my primary hunting gun.

Thanks
Bob

I've been obsessed with both the entire last month. I'd get a Jonesing for the Super for a month then it would fade. It's back. I had both brand new Redhawk and Super in my hands yesterday. I am not a 44 Mag fan. But thrilled with a 45LC. Probably a Wash. I was set to give good money for a Redhawk in 5.5" in 45LC.

Have a few SA Rugers in 45LC. BH Bisley in 5.5" and custom Reeder BH in 4 5/8".

Think I've made the decision to order a Super in either 454(only to use hot 45LC....454 too much for me) or the 480 Ruger. Worried over lack of components for the 480. I can't find Hornady brass anywhere.

I really think the Super Red is the way to go. A 454 is great, a very useful cartridge.

I had to wait for 7 months to get some .475 L brass from Starline, I imagine the .480 is probably just as hard to get.

When my new .44 Mag Freedom Arms is finished, I will be using it for everything from now on. With the loads we use in the Freedom guns, or the Redhawks,
a .44 will do everything I need for what we have up here.
I will probably sell my .454 s. Wonderful cartridge, but I have been using a .44 for so long...

Thanks
Bob
