Just got one of these to put on my new bow. Just curious if you all use the rubber cord damper or leave it off. Seems I can't get the cord tight enough to keep the launcher all the way flat. Ita still got a little give to it.

The issue is the crap cord they give you not the dampener. Get some D-loop cord and you should be fine.

Yes I would use it. But tie a prussik knot instead of using the crappy football clamp. Average jack archedry on youtube has a great video on it
. Also Devan Hall, the main tech guy at hamskea, did a great write up for the placement of the activation cord. I highly recommend reading it before setting up your rest. It'll save you a lot of head aches. https://www.archerytalk.com/threads/timing-of-a-limb-driven-arrow-rest.6104210/

One thing to check is that you are fully seating the cord in the rebound dampener so that it doesn't move after a few shots. Once I have the cord attached to the limb, I will weave the cord through the rebound dampener so that the dampener is down close to the limb. I'll then wrap the cord above the rebound dampener around an allen wrench and really pull on it to seat the cord deep in the rebound dampener. Once this is done, I will finish putting tension on the cord to pull the launcher down. This process has helped a lot to eliminate the launcher creeping up in the first few shots.

It takes a little while for the cord to quit stretching and settle in the dampener channels. They use D-Braid cord and there is nothing wrong with it! A Blake's Hitch is the best way to secure the cord. The Rebound Dampener should be as close to the limb as possible. I've seen some crazy looking setups on these coming out of bowshops!

you gotta pull it TIGHT.. like waaay tighter than you think. The rubber stretches a good bit. I thought my cord was slipping but after marking it with a pen. i realized it was all in the rubber shock dampener

A taught line hitch is easier then prussik, have been using it on mine for a year or so, no issues
