When creating this post i checked the area “has this been asked before” and didn’t exactly find what i was looking for. I’ve got two firearms i want to get rid of, I’ve bought on gunbroker but never sold. I understand money orders are pretty straight forward but i also would like to include credit/debit options…do any of you have experience with the payment gateways? The ones i have looked up so far seem geared towards dealers and high volume sellers. I just want to sell my two guns simply and be done with it.

To summarize, i would really enjoy feedback on which payment gateways you have used. I’m brand new here, so not able to ask this in classifieds.

Would be awesome but i believe it’s an unauthorized form of payment.

Idk if you have one available. But what I did was pay a commission to an ffl, he charged me 20% but with him being an established seller with feedback, and his excellent photos and shipping included, I feel he at least paid for his cost in the fact the guns got bid higher, and all I had to do was drop them off.

Honestly had not thought of that, I’m friends with the owner of a local gun shop here. I’ll have to stop by and ask them.

Local cash sale is the best if not needing the money right away. Local gun shop might sell them for you for a small fee. classified ad in local paper or online site like Armslist.

I've never sold guns on Gunbroker.

This forum has a firearm sales category...if the guns are of any use and you're not asking a wild price they'll sell fast enough.

My preference lately would be face to face deal.

I may hold them until I’m able to post here in classifieds.

I've sold around 15-20 firearms on GB over the years. All I used to accept was a USPS MO and they all went well. I figured they were more difficult to duplicate and when I went to the PO to ship the firearm, I could have them verify the MO in their system. The problem was that I couldn't ever cash the MO at the PO since they never had enough cash on hand.

I just sold two rifles in the last couple of weeks and used the Gun Broker Pay thing that they push. There was still a 1-4 day delay in processing the payment but all is good so far. The process is much more streamlined than it was 4-5 years ago. Now you can upload your shipping info etc and its more of a "back and forth" process between buyer and seller. Overall, I am very happy with the process now. Its probably a lot easier than selling a gun on the classifieds as far as keeping everything on the up and up.

One draw back is that they report sales tax....so there's that.

You can easily ship a firearm from your state to their state without an FFL, if Both states allow. A lot of times, an FFL won’t receive a shipment from non—FFL, regardless of the law. You should shop your local FFL’s for transfer fees (should be $20-$50), and keep that in mind. Just like selling on eBay, except with FFL.

I’ve bought all my firearms through gunbroker and sold a few without issue.

Something else to consider if you have no feedback on GB your items value will be impacted. Also your listing time will make a big difference. Most people approach new sellers with caution rightfully so. I purchased a colt m4a1 for around 700$ off there, from a unrated seller, with a primary arms acss optic. He lost a significant amount of value out of that sale partially because he had no feedback and also because his item ended at 11pm est.
