What's a good gun sling to get, I've never found one I was satisfied with 100%. Anyone here have one they love, any features I should look for?

I usually use the claw sling on my guns. It's pretty light and stays on your shoulder good. Slogan Outdoors also makes a pretty good sling, know a few people who really like it. The slogan will probably be the next one I buy.

i have a butler creek mountain sling that gets switched around to whatever rifle i'm carrying. it's basically just a loop of webbing with two connectors on the end and a length adjustment slider. it's got a bit of grippy material on the inside to keep it from slipping on your shoulder.

I also use the CLAW sling most of the time when carrying a heavy rifle. Non slip works very well

I go lightweight. A piece of Kifaru's 1" webbing and a couple of 3-bar sliders. I could shed the weight of the bottom slider by sewing the webbing to the swivel....

I've used a ton of slings and my favorite for typical hunting are the Claw models and the Slogan Outdoors Ultimate sling

For mountain hunting, I like a lighter sling and have found the Boonie Packer strap works excellent.

Me too. 1" webbing with sliders. Only thing I do is coat the back of the strap with silicone (cheap bath sealant) to stop it slipping on my shoulder.

+1 for the Slogan sling. This is the only sling I've found that doesn't cause problems when carrying with a backpack. The rifle just sits, nice and tight, and doesn't slip off my shoulder. I've also used the sling to stabilize the rifle for standing and kneeling shots. It's a little heavier than some, but more than makes up for the weight with ease of carry and utility.

After using an uncle Mike's neoprene with the little gripper knobs, I have decided to go with basic 1 inch webbing. The reason is I am now recalling what I learned when I was a kid as far as using the sling wrapped around my left arm for stability offhand and prone shooting

I use one called a Wyoming split sling. Not sure if they are still made. The strap is split in 2- so you can use it on a shoulder like a conventional sling or by using the 'split', you can wear it like a backpack. Wonderful when hiking, etc. and you want both hands free without worrying about the sling slipping off your shoulder.

Slightly expensive, but it comes with a lifetime guarantee- free replacement. I have one and have used it for two seasons. Love it, and don't need to look for any other slings.

I use a Galco Safari Ching Sling. By no means is it light, but I haven't found a better sling. I use my sling as a shooting aid, and I can get into this sling quickly and be just as steady as if I were using a rest. I only have one and find myself switching between whatever rifle I am taking.

The Claw is very nice. I have an Ultimate Sling as well. Both are very capable and stay on your shoulder well.
