Curious what everyone likes for gun cases in the dust. Typically, I use soft sided gun cases because they take up a bit less space than hardsided. I have several of the Midway ones and they are generally fine for my uses, however, the dusty conditions just eats up the zippers. Not a problem if I keep them in the cab of my truck, but I hunt out of a Suzuki Samurai quite a bit with the top off (hunting or just bumming around in the hills really) and that gets dusty. The same would apply for guys using UTVs.

I've been tempted to get a waterproof style case, several are mentioned here:

But I'm interested to see what everyone else is using.

Little bump for more views. I can't be the only one destroying zippers from dust. Aside from gun cases, I've eaten up the zippers in a few packs in the dust.

I use a RGD Extreme bow case. Its zipper has held up decently. It did include a little thing of zipper lube.

I got it because my buddy uses both their bow and rifle soft cases and they are always strapped onto his ATV. He rides with one or the other on all year.

Maybe this is oversimplifying things, but could you put the rifle in the case "upside down" and put the bag zipper side down in the Samurai to reduce exposure?
