Guide lid questions

Just received my new guide lid (in record time) and was a bit surprised that the webbing doesn't line up with the malice clips on the organizer pocket. Which leads to the obvious question:

Has anyone found a way to attach either 1000d or 500d organizer pockets to a guide lid? I've got a 1000d version, and the 6-inch malice clips that come with it are too short. Thinking a 7-inch clip would work, but they don't seem to manufacture malice clips in that size. Which means going up to 8-inch clips--which seems too long. So I wondering if the attachment system on the 500d version--which I've never seen in person--will work?

I just attached a belt pocket on my wife's and I'm assuming you're talking about on the exterior and it worked great!

Zip ties should solve your problem and they're lighter than malice clips.

Not what you asked but the small belt pouch fits perfectly on the outside using the 4 slots on top. I haven't seen any other pockets mounted on the outside before.

All the belt pouches fit on top of the guide lid. Pretty sure I've put my 500D organizer on it for another member to see the test fit. Will dig up a pic or shoot a new one in a few mins. Here's a large, medium, small belt pouch on it.
